Else Byskov is a brilliant author whose works combine intellectual depth, spiritual wisdom, and inspiring perspectives on life’s mysteries.

What initially drew you to the work of Martinus, and how did it transform your perspective on life and spirituality?

I was a searching soul when I encountered the Martinus material. I could not accept the illogical  religious dogmas that I grew up with, because they clashed with my intellect. I became an atheist, but was still searching for a logical explanation to the mystery of life.

“Search and you shall find”, became true to me when suddenly a book about Martinus fell into my hands. I intuitively knew that this was where my search ended. I devoured Martinus´ two main works: Livets Bog (the Book of Life) – 7 volumes and The Eternal World Picture – 4 volumes –  like a starving wolf, and it felt like refreshing rain after a long period of draught. I was totally enthusiastic, and I knew I had to write about it to help other people find it.

“I discarded the one-life theory… because it simply makes no sense to only live once.” – Else Byskov

Studying the Martinus material (10.000 pages and 100 symbols) changed my life. My whole mental sphere underwent a metamorphosis, as I threw old superstitions and dogmas overboard.

I came to realise that this is not the only life we live, that death is an illusion, and that there is a master plan with our existence. I discarded the one-life theory, still predominant in the Western world, because it simply makes no sense to only live once.

According to this theory we are identical to our physical body, and when the body dies, we are dead forever. But this claim  is nothing more than a belief. Nobody has ever proved that nothing survives the death of the body.

The one-life theory is based on the erroneous idea that only what is physical is real, that invisible matter does not exist. But that idea makes our own thoughts, our whole consciousness, non-existent, it makes electromagnetic radiation non-existent, it is denying the existence of the most essential part of the world: energy. We know that energy is invisible, that it cannot be created or destroyed, and from this follows that our consciousness, which is a field of energy, survives every time we lose a physical body.

What has traditionally been called the soul is in reality identical to our consciousness. It holds all information about who we are – information gathered via experiences and trial and error over a long series of physical lives.

Once I realized that only the body dies and that our essence moves on to the spiritual plane for a rest before it is ready to reincarnate, a huge weight was lifted from my shoulders. I became so light-hearted, so grateful to experience life and at the same time enjoy the evolutionary journey we all are on: from primitive to advanced, all-loving human beings.

Our fates will remain a mystery until we take past lives into consideration. The law of karma decrees that we reap as we sow, and seeds sown in one life may only be harvested in a later life. The highest justice rules the universe, because you can only reap a fate that you have sown yourself. Everyone gets exactly what they need for the evolution of their humaneness.

Can you elaborate on the evidence that convinced you that death is an illusion?

What convinced me most was the sheer logic of not living just one life. What would the purpose be? Further evidence is the near-death experience, the many cases of children who remember past lives, the effectiveness of regression therapy and our many talents, that none of our parents have. Our talents are results of practice performed in former lives. We would not be who we are today without all the learning and accumulated wisdom we have gathered in former lives. In a sense, we ARE our former lives.

How do you explain the concept of reincarnation to sceptics who may not believe in life after death?

Nothing could be alive without reincarnation. All life-forms reincarnate, no exception. It is via reincarnation that life is “blown” into the physical plane. Our consciousness is the entity that reincarnates and it holds our lifeforce.

What are the most misunderstood aspects of the law of attraction, and how does your book address them?

I have written a separate book about the law of attraction titled: The Art of Attraction. This book explains what the law can do and not do.

My latest book: “The Earth, the Universe and God in a Cosmic Perspective” reveals the really big picture and explains how the law of attraction is the most powerful natural law at work in the universe.

How do you see the future of humanity evolving in terms of spirituality and our understanding of the universe?

The future of humanity is bright and beautiful once it has outlived its greed, power-hunger and egoism. A huge paradigm shift lies before us when the last war has been fought in some 300 years. Then we will have learned to love our neighbour and we will finally have world peace and deep spiritual insight.

What role does hiking and your connection to nature play in your spiritual journey and writing process?

Spending time in nature is important because there you are surrounded by pure, positive energy that will nourish your soul, calm your nerves and make you open for divine inspiration. You simply cannot be sad out there.

What advice would you give to aspiring authors who wish to write about complex spiritual or philosophical topics?

Be patient. Not everybody is ready to embrace a spiritual outlook on life, but just keep writing.
