Susen Edwards is a lifelong New Jersey resident with a uniquely fitting claim: she has lived in not one, but two “White Houses” — growing up in Whitehouse Station and now residing in the historic Joseph and Minnie White House in Middlesex Borough, once home to famed photographer Margaret Bourke-White.
Susen holds a B.S. in Education with a minor in English from East Stroudsburg University, an M.A. in Professional Studies, and additional graduate certification in online teaching from Thomas Edison State University. Her passion for lifelong learning is reflected in her diverse studies, spanning professional development, massage therapy, real estate, and creative writing.
Together with her husband, Bob, Susen co-founded Somerset School of Massage Therapy, New Jersey’s first state-approved and nationally accredited postsecondary massage therapy school. Her entrepreneurial achievements were recognised with a nomination by Merrill Lynch for Inc. Magazine’s Entrepreneur of the Year Award. After selling the business, she continued her dedication to education as an administrator at Middlesex College.
Susen is an active supporter of her local community, currently serving as secretary for the board of trustees at her town’s library and president of the Friends of the Library. A passionate animal lover and environmental advocate, she enjoys yoga, cooking, reading, and writing.
Today, Susen lives with her husband and their beloved cats, Harold and Maude, in their lovingly restored historic home, continuing to write and inspire through both her professional and creative work.
