Prepare to be enchanted as Reader’s House dives into the mind behind the bestsellers that continue to captivate romance lovers worldwide.

Your latest series, a three-book small-town romance, sounds captivating. What inspired you to delve into this setting and theme, and what makes this series unique compared to your previous works?
I’ve never written a small town romance before and after battling a serious case of burnout, it was just what my brain (and heart) needed! I got the idea to write these 3 brothers who own a family run resort in a fictional town and it just blossomed from there. They’re the best books I’ve ever written and I’m extremely proud of them.

Your “Fisher Brothers” and “Fun For the Holidays” series have captivated readers with their emotional depth and relatability. How do you craft characters and stories that resonate so strongly with your audience?

I draw from real life when I write my books, so I think just from that perspective, they tend to be relatable. Even though I’m writing fictional characters, I like them to feel real and I’m definitely an emotional storyteller. I think that comes through in my writing for sure.

Your journey as a self-published author turned best-seller is truly inspiring. What challenges did you face along the way, and what advice would you give to aspiring authors looking to follow a similar path?

I would say that the challenges really never seem to end. LOL I don’t mean that in a negative way- it’s just the reality of self-publishing. Things are always evolving and there are new decisions to make all the time. It’s hard. Truly. And whatever works for 1 author, most likely won’t work for another. I’m a big proponent of following your heart, trusting your gut and really getting to know what kind of writer you are and then being the best one you can be. You got this!

Romance often explores universal themes like love, heartbreak, and redemption. What do you think sets your novels apart in this genre, and how do you keep the stories fresh and engaging?

I’m honestly not sure that my books are much different than anyone else’s. I mean, haven’t all the stories been told before? Pretty much. The only thing that we have that’s unique is our writing voice…the WAY we tell a story… So I’ve definitely stayed true to that. If you like the way I write in one of my books, then you’ll like them all.

You’ve built a dedicated fan base over the years. How has interacting with your readers shaped your writing, and are there any memorable moments with fans that stand out?

I absolutely LOVE my readers and interacting with them is the best. It’s so much fun being a self-published author because you’re more accessible. I feel like my readers are my friends first, you know? They don’t shape my writing perse, but they’ve definitely forced me (lol) to write a book I wouldn’t have otherwise written. It’s interesting the way they push and pressure you to write a particular character- and then sometimes they don’t show up for it. I’ve learned to write the stories I want to tell and I’m okay with disappointing people by saying NO.
