Reader’s House Contributor Terms and Conditions
These contributor terms are provided by Reader’s House Magazine. For enquiries, use our Contact page. Read our Privacy Policy alongside these terms.
These terms apply to News, Review and Interview submissions made through the Reader’s House contributor dashboard.
Your account
Use an email address you control and activate your account before submitting. You are responsible for the accuracy of your account details and keeping your password secure.
Your submissions
You retain ownership of your original work. Submit only text and photographs you own or have permission to share and license for publication. Identify the public byline, captions and photo credits accurately. Do not submit confidential information or material you are not authorised to disclose.
Permission to publish
By submitting, you give Reader’s House non-exclusive permission to review, edit, format, reproduce and publish your submitted text and photographs on its website, with the supplied attribution where practicable. If you request print consideration, this permission also covers publication in the Reader’s House print edition. Editorial changes must preserve your factual meaning. Submission does not transfer ownership.
Sharing with other media outlets
By submitting content, you grant Reader’s House permission to share and syndicate your submitted text and photographs with other media outlets for publication, provided that Reader’s House Magazine is credited as the source and the supplied author and photo credits are retained.
Editorial selection
Submissions are saved as drafts for editorial review. Website publication and print inclusion are editorial decisions and are not guaranteed. A print request is an expression of interest, not a booking or promise of inclusion. No payment, purchase or publication fee is agreed through this submission form.
Interviews
Questions are prepared after your biography and project information are received. We will notify you when they are ready. You may edit questions and add your own, with a maximum of 20 questions and 300 words per answer. Save progress until ready to submit your completed interview.
AI-assisted questions
If you choose AI-assisted preparation, your biography and project text are sent to OpenAI to prepare interview questions. You can leave this option unchecked for editorial preparation and can edit, add or delete questions in your dashboard. Your account email and uploaded photographs are not sent to OpenAI for question generation.
Emails and privacy
Reader’s House uses your email address for account activation and submission updates. Your account email is not included in the article body. Review the site Privacy Policy for information about personal data handling. Uploaded photographs remain in private storage until an editor prepares them for publication.
Corrections and removal requests
Contact the Reader’s House editorial team through the website Contact page to request a correction, account removal or withdrawal of unpublished material. Contact the team promptly before any print production deadline; printed copies already distributed cannot be recalled through this dashboard.
