Why did you decide to become a writer?
While there isn’t just one moment that reaffirms my choice to be a writer, it’s really all those little moments that come together to create a beautiful tapestry of joy. Every time I hand a book to a child and see their eyes light up, it fills me with warmth. I love hearing from parents and teachers about how much their kids adore the Gigglet books. It’s heartwarming to know that some children take their books with them everywhere they go.
Those moments remind me why I write. Knowing that I’ve brought a bit of happiness and joy into someone’s life is an incredible feeling. It’s all about spreading love and kindness through storytelling, and that’s what keeps me inspired every day!

What inspired you to establish your company AMB Kids Books, and when did you begin the company?
I’m so glad you asked! The inspiration behind establishing AMB Kids Books came from a deep love for storytelling and a desire to foster a lifelong passion for reading in children. I noticed how powerful stories can be in sparking imagination and creativity, and I wanted to create a space where kids could explore diverse narratives and characters.
I officially started the company in January 2024, aiming to provide engaging, relatable, and educational content that resonates with young readers, teachers, parents and guardians. It’s been a wonderful journey so far, and I’m excited to keep creating books that inspire and entertain!
Could you tell me more about the types of children’s books you specialize in?
Absolutely! I personally love picture books/board books. I enjoy reading these books more than adult books. These books are perfect for the youngest readers, typically (ages 0-5). They combine beautiful illustrations with simple, engaging stories that help spark imagination and language development. My books are geared toward early readers: Aimed at children who are just starting to read on their own (ages 4-6), these books feature larger text, shorter sentences, repetitive words, and include bright and colorful illustrations that support comprehension.
Do your books focus on any specific themes, genres, or age groups?
My books focus on themes of happiness, joy and wonderment. These emotions are fundamental to a child’s development and understanding of the world around them. When kids encounter stories that emphasize joy, they learn to recognize and appreciate positive feelings, which can help shape their emotional resilience.
Joyful narratives can spark imagination and creativity, encouraging children to explore their own emotions and experiences. Happiness also fosters connection—stories filled with joy can help children relate to others and develop empathy. Ultimately, by highlighting happiness and joy, these books aim to create a sense of wonder and positivity, enriching the reading experience and supporting emotional growth. After all, who doesn’t love a good tale that leaves them smiling?

Yes! As a matter of fact I do! “Gigglet The Happy Little Piglet” series comes with a variety of interactive and educational resources to enrich the reading experience. Each of the three charming board books has its own companion activity/coloring book designed specifically for early readers.
But that’s not all! My website is packed with fun interactive features, including a digital memory game that kids can enjoy, a comprehensive Printables section where you can find coloring pages and activity sheets to download and print, and even a delightful area filled with Gigglet-themed recipes to try out together.
And here’s a little sneak peek: Gigglet is now available as a lovable, huggable, squeezable plush toy! Oh my goodness! Yes! I have some exciting new titles and series on the horizon! Our beloved Gigglet is about to embark on a heartwarming adventure as she prepares to become a big sister! This upcoming story will beautifully capture the joy and emotions of welcoming a new baby brother into the family. It’s a tale that promises to resonate with young readers and fill their hearts with warmth.

What is your primary aim or mission when producing books for young readers?
My primary aim when creating books for young readers is to inspire a love for reading and learning. I want to create stories that spark imagination and curiosity, encouraging kids to explore new ideas and perspectives. It’s important to me that these books are not only engaging but also age-appropriate, featuring relatable characters and themes that resonate with young readers.
I strive to foster wonderment, creativity, and critical thinking through diverse narratives, ensuring that children see themselves reflected in the stories they read. Ultimately, my mission is to make reading a joyful and enriching experience, laying the foundation for lifelong learning and a deeper understanding of the world around them.
What are the key messages or lessons children can learn from your books?
Every day, children are presented with countless choices that shape their experiences and emotions. I want them to understand that they have the ability to choose how they feel, no matter what circumstances they face.
Life is a colorful mix of emotions, and while we can’t control everything that happens, we can control our responses. By consciously choosing uplifting thoughts and embracing happiness, children can develop a positive mindset that not only enhances their own well-being but also spreads joy to those around them.
Wouldn’t it be something if children grew up knowing they have the power to navigate life’s challenges with resilience! By embracing this truth, they can face obstacles with optimism, gratitude, and a belief that they truly can shape their experiences. It’s all about empowering them to recognize that their thoughts and feelings are within their control. With this understanding, they can thrive and create a ripple effect of positivity that touches everyone they meet!
If you could talk to your younger self at the beginning of your writing journey, what would you say?
“Amber! You have so much potential—remember the journey is just as important as the destination. Embrace the ups and downs; every experience shapes you as a writer and creator. Trust your inner voice. It’s okay to stumble; keep going and creating. Find joy in the little things, allow those happy thoughts to flow, and don’t forget to ‘Get Your Giggle On’—laughter fuels creativity. Life is an adventure, and writing is a beautiful part of it. Relish every moment and every story. You’re meant to shine, and I can’t wait to see you light up the worl
