Fantasy, Mythology, And Visionary Storytelling
Bria Lexor shares her journey of turning supernatural curiosity into bold, multi-genre fiction. From dark fantasy to romantasy, discover how she blends myth, sci-fi, and emotional tension in her stories.
Bria Lexor crafts her worlds as a sculptor might carve from stone—layer by layer, breathing life into landscapes that merge the shadowed textures of dark fantasy with the gleaming edges of futuristic imaginings. With a deft hand, she weaves mythology and mecha, prophecy and conflict, into rich, unpredictable tapestries that challenge and delight her readers. Her characters wrestle with fate and themselves, trapped in delicate dances where hate and intimacy become inseparable—mortal, flawed, and unforgettable.
For Lexor, storytelling is not simply a craft but a calling awakened in childhood. Her early fascination with the supernatural and folklore was born from personal encounters with the eerie and unexplained. Perhaps it is this intimacy with the strange and uncharted that lends her stories their particular potency, the way they stretch the boundaries of what we think possible in both the worlds she builds and the emotions she explores.
Her latest works, including Rebels Flame, exemplify her fearless approach to genre. There is a bold alchemy at work, balancing mechas and mythology, love and enmity, danger and destiny. Whether crafting assassins, gods, or reluctant lovers, Lexor’s imagination knows no bounds, always asking her readers to step beyond ordinary realities—and to trust her, if just for an instant, to show them magic where they least expect it.
Bria Lexor is a visionary storyteller who masters the art of blending fantastical worlds with bold characters and intricate narratives.
What first sparked your fascination with the supernatural, folklore, and dark fantasy, and how did these early influences shape your unique writing voice?
Living in haunted houses growing up. The supernatural intrigued me at a young age.
Rebels Flame features a mix of mecha, prophecy, political intrigue, and an enemies-to-lovers book. How did you balance these distinct elements while keeping the world cohesive?
I added a mix of distinct elements to keep the story unique. I made it work while keeping Melfina and Sixus as the MC.

Melfina and Prince Sixus have a tense, complex dynamic. What inspired their relationship, and how do you approach writing characters who clash so intensely?
Sixus and Melfina understood each other better because they strongly hated each other and were forced to be roommates. Forcing the characters to grow and develop with each chapter wasn’t difficult.
You often blend mythology with futuristic elements. What draws you to merging ancient lore with modern or sci-fi settings?
I add real with fiction settings. The sci-fi with the mechs was new and fun.
Many of your protagonists face immense trials—from assassins to gods. How do you craft tension and maintain high stakes across your series?
Keeping the tension and high stakes continuing from the previous book in the series helps keep it easy for me to write the next book with a base already established.

You’ve written across multiple worlds and sagas. What is your process for building such large, interconnected universes?
I keep the universes based in the real world and in our present timeline. It helps keep things real for me and easy to write.
As someone who started writing at a very young age, how has your creative process evolved as you’ve grown as an author?
I started writing song lyrics at 4. Writing Gargoyle Redemption at 25. I’ve grown as an author by never stopping and keeping going.
What advice would you offer to other authors who want to write bold, imaginative stories that blend genres and push boundaries?
Do it!
“Melfina and Sixus clashed because they were forced to co-exist, but their growth as characters felt natural and organic.” – Bria Lexor
